The client envisioned a “beautiful canvas” for modern living.
With nearly 400 feet of Lake Michigan frontage, the site itself offered a profound work of art—one shaped by water, light, and horizon. Our role was to capture that intrinsic beauty and draw it into the home. Rather than placing a singular modern object on the landscape, we sculpted the architecture with extended rooflines and delicately detailed glass walls, allowing the house to dissolve into its surroundings. The result is an ethereal composition of indoor and outdoor rooms that unfold gently along the water’s edge, where architecture and nature exist in quiet balance.
