Poised high on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, this site’s spectacular views made it the ideal location for a home.
We worked within the site’s constraints, taking advantage of mature trees and maintaining the existing landscape as much as possible. A large oak tree marks the entry court, greeting family and friends on arrival. Inside, the layout balances open areas with private bedrooms and baths. A common room combines kitchen, dining and living spaces with a wall of windows, offering unrestrained views of the lake. Inspired by the nearby sand dunes, a palette of clean whites and warm woods nods to the region’s coastal aesthetic.
